What exactly is the Republican party right now?

When your chairman is out promoting demonstrable nonsense like this, you're in big, big trouble as a serious political party:

And if you want an example of bad public policy, just look at the situation with our veterans, when you have a manual out there telling our veterans stuff like, 'are you really of value to your community,' you know, encouraging them to commit suicide. I mean, this is crazy coming from the government, and this is exactly what concerns people and puts them in fear of what the government control of health care will look like.

I get loyal opposition.

This is something else altogether...

Ok Jack. Enough with the Republican bashing. Check out this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yga7TlsA-1A). If the legislation proposed by the Republican's had passed in 2004, we would not be in a recession. You can thank Fannie Mae and Freddi Mac for the housing collapse that lead to the financial crisis that then lead to the economic recession. "I understand loyalty, but this is something else Jack"

Did you notice how you didn't address the issue raised in the post at all but instead choose to switch to a topic you feel you can score debate points on? that tells me you have no reasonable defense for why a party chair would go on national tv and spread easily-disproven, spun-out-of-thin-air lies. or can you? who ever you are...

There was no need to address your pithy comments. I am not sure if there is a death panel or not. But, I think there are debatable issues for either side to debate. There is solid evidence that B. Hussein Obama's public option would ration health care to the point of having to decide who gets health care. The agency handbook for the VA is just such an example.

I posted the video in response to your suggestion that the Republicans have somehow lost there way. As you can see in the video, the Democrats on the oversight committee should each be held responsible for our financial collapse. The Blame that falls on the Republicans for the economy is that when Republicans were in control, the acted like Democrats in wasting money on useless social projects like prescription drug program for seniors, no-child left behind, etc.

no need? you don't think your party chair speading lies is comment worthy? (nice nod to o'riely, by the way."pithy")you don't know if they're death panels, eh? why don't you find out? its not hard. google "death+panel" and about 20 articles will come up debunking that nonsense. take your pick.

i agree that they are debatable points, this isn't one of them. not if the facts matter, that is.

i suggest that the republicans are in trouble because they are not arguing with facts. they argue will demonstrable falsehoods. and that hurts america because we don't debate the issues, we spend our time debunking lies.

don't you find it odd that no one has ever heard of a death book until a week ago? even though end of life counseling has been part of VA bebifits for over a decade? has a vet ever complained about such a thing? ever??? come on...

nice emphasis on the president's middle name by the way. yes its his name and you're entitled to use it, but i wonder if you've ever done it in regards to any other president or public figure before...

Jack, Check this out this article. This is the brother of B. Hussein Obama's chief of staff.

Still think that health care rationing is a bunch of wacko talk?

wait... you choose as your source of reliable info on the evil of Ezekiel Emanuel the woman who invented the death panel nonsense?!?!? you know she's been discredited by every serious journalist on the planet, right? even the right-wing doesn't claim her.

and now that you've claimed her as a source, what does that do to your credibility you think?

Google her name and this is what you'll get as response #1:

also, the very next day after the Daily Show interview aired, she "resigned" as director of Cantel Medical Corperation for whom she had served as director since 2005. coincidence?

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Elizabeth-McCaughey-Resigns-prnews-2975137710.html?x=0&.v=1

this woman is against health reform of any kind. she was there against clinton in the 90s scaring people, and she's at it again. this is strictly business for her. she doesn't care about our heath care at all...
