Stat of the Day

The U.S., while only representing 5% of the World's population, has 25% of the World's prisoners.

Why do you think that is?

I would say that we have the best law enforcement in the world. Most third world countries have corrupt police and military. If you dont think this is true, I dare you to walk the streets of Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Guatemala, pick your city in Africa. People dont commit many crimes in Communist countries because the penalties are very harsh. Same for Middle East. Steal something there, you get your hand cut off. And then there is Singapore. Remember the American that got caught painting graffiti? 10 Lashes. Our prisoners are treated very nicely in this country. Pretty soon, terrorists will be as well!

SAK 1) i'm flattered that you're reading the blog. didn't know you were a fan. 2) so do you think that our citizens are more currupt than most in the world, or are we just better at catching people? 3) you're going to have to support that comment about terrosists. that sounds like a debate i'd like to have...
